Dammam witnesses pleasant weather during the months of December to March, making it the ideal time to plan your visit. If you wish to experience some festivities, plan your trip between July and October.

How to reach

  • By air: King Fahd International Airport serves Dammam, located about 20 km northwest of the city. Saudi-Bahraini Transport Company (SABTCO) operates safe and comfortable shuttle buses from the airport. Alternatively, you can also take a taxi from the airport. IndiGo now provides flights to Dammam which connects Dammam with Mumbai, Hyderabad and Trivandrum.
  • By train: Dammam railway station is situated about 8 km from the city centre with trains connecting Dammam to Abqaiq, Hofuf and Riyadh.  
  • By bus: The SAPTCO buses ply between Dammam and Bahrain five times a day.
  • By road: Dammam is well linked by the kingdom's modern highway network. Buses and taxis are readily available to nearby places.
  • Getting around: Taxis and "dubbabs" are the primary means of transportation to travel across the city.
