Hong Kong International Airport is the main airport serving the city, comprising of two terminals – 1 and 2 with two runways and two separate concourses (North Satellite and Midfield). IndiGo now provides direct connectivity between Hong Kong and Bengaluru along with seamless connections to several other destinations.
Terminal 1
This terminal is for the well-established airlines. All flights get departed from Terminal 1 or the new Midfield Concourse.
Terminal 2
This terminal is for the low-cost carriers with check-in only facility and without any boarding gates.
IndiGo introduces a seamless travel experience for passengers with the SkyPier check-in service. This service can be used by passengers departing from the SkyPier Terminal to HKIA. It caters to travellers arriving from seven mainland city ports - Macau, Zhuhai, Shekou, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Guangzhou Nansha, and Guangzhou Pazhou within a specific time window from 08:00 to 13:50 HKT.
The SkyPier check-in service is available for passengers who have ferry or bus tickets to HKIA SkyPier Terminal. With this, travellers can skip both the immigration and long queues to save time, offering a hassle-free travel experience. However, this can only be used on the date of departure and is not allowed for an overnight stay.
For excess baggage, passengers must pay in Hong Kong Dollars (cash) at the counters, as credit card transactions are not available at SkyPier. Additionally, passengers are also not required to apply for Pre-Arrival Registration for Hong Kong when using the SkyPier check-in service.
*Standby or staff travel cannot use this service.
