National, October 30, 2023: IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, commenced operations in Salem, the 82nd domestic and 114th overall destination in the 6E network. The airline will seamlessly connect Salem to Chennai daily from October 29, 2023 and to Hyderabad, and Bengaluru four times a week from October 30, 2023. This strategic launch will enhance interstate accessibility and foster economic growth in the region, aligning with the regional connectivity scheme's objectives.
