Jaipur Literature Festival

19^th - 23^rd January, 2023 | Jaipur

Since its launch over a decade ago, the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) has become a much-loved event, especially among literature enthusiasts. JLF has provided a platform to express and engage with people from diverse sectors in dialogue and debate. With a line-up of writers, humanitarians, thinkers, entrepreneurs, politicians, entertainers, and others, this five-day annual event will take place from 19 to 23 January, 2023.

Over the years, notable names such as Malala Yousafzai, Margaret Atwood, Gulzar, and others have graced its stage. In 2023, the speaker list includes Abdulrazak Gurnah, Ashwin Sanghi, C. Raja Mohan, Bernardine Evaristo, Deepti Naval, Nandan Nilekani, Vir Sanghvi, and others.

Lollapalooza

28^th - 29^th January, 2023 | Mumbai

Setting the bar for live music, this multi-genre fest is finally making its debut in India on 28 and 29 January, 2023. Lollapalooza, popular in eight countries globally, is all about alternative lifestyle, music, and culture. With the first edition coming to Mumbai, the festival will feature over 40 artists across four stages.

Celebrating inclusivity and promising unique experience with its music, the line-up includes names like AP Dhillon, Diplo, Zhu, Prateek Kuhad, The Yellow Diary, Greta Van Fleet, and more.

Kochi-Muziris Biennale

12^th December, 2022 - 10^th April, 2023 | Kochi

One of South Asia’s biggest contemporary art festivals, Kochi-Muziris Biennale will feature 80 artists and collectives, and over 45 new commissions. Curated by Singaporean-Indian contemporary artist Shubigi Rao, this edition is titled, In Our Veins Flow Ink and Fire. Starting 12 December, 2022, the event will go on till 10 April, 2023, and showcase exhibits across multiple venues, including repurposed heritage properties, near Fort Kochi.

With an aim to be the centre for artistic engagement in the country, the event seeks to introduce contemporary, international visual art theory and practice to India. The Biennale will host conversation forums, concerts, screenings, and more to encourage discussions amongst artists, cultural practitioners, curators, and the public.

Artists whose works have been part of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale over the years, include Anish Kapoor, Jitish Kallat, Ranbir Kaleka, Sudarshan Shetty, and Anita Dube.
