  • Museum of Cycladic Art: The Cycladic Museum was founded in 1986 by the Nicholas and Dolly Goulandris Foundation. A shipowner, Nicholas P. Goulandris, was known as a patron of Athens' arts and culture. Goulandris' own collection forms the core of the museum's exhibits.
  • Olympieion: The Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympieion, was the largest temple in ancient Greece. However, it was not completed until the 2nd century A.D. by Emperor Hadrian. In front of the Olympieion, not far from the entrance, stands the Arch of Hadrian at the end of Dionysius' Areopagitou.
